Directions to UACNJ Observatory at Jenny Jump
The UACNJ Observatory is located at 1,100 feet above sea level in Jenny Jump State Forest, near Hope, NJ in Warren County (Latitude 40 54' 26.8" N, Longitude 74 55' 31.8" W).
A note on GPS and mapping apps: The observatory's street address is 333 State Park Road, Great Meadows, NJ, but many GPS and mapping apps have trouble placing this address correctly. If your app can't find it, try entering 399 State Park Road, Great Meadows, NJ instead, which will get you to the driveway entrance.
From Route 80: Take Exit 12
(Route 521, Hope). From the off ramp, head south on Route 521 toward Hope for 1.2 miles. Turn left at the light in Hope (the only light in town), then take the first right onto Great Meadows-Hope Road. Travel 2.4 miles to Far View Road and turn left. The observatory entrance is 1.2 miles on the right, just before the Jenny Jump State Forest sign.
From Routes 78/22: Take Exit 17 for Route 31 North. Travel north 16.6 miles through Washington and Oxford. At Route 46 turn right at the light (Butzville). Go 5.8 miles on Route 46 to Great Meadows and turn left on Hope Road (Route 611, at Saints Peter and Paul Church). Travel 2.4 miles to Far View Road and turn right. The observatory entrance is 1.2 miles on the right, just before the Jenny Jump State Forest sign.
